Booking and reservation

You book your hotel room online at cityhotels.com or over the phone. When the reservation is registered the booking can be paid in one of two ways:

  • Directly with credit- or debit card through our payment site.
  • At check out at the hotel, if this has been chosen when booking.

We will send a "hotel voucher" (hotel document) to the stated e-mail address. The voucher must be signed and handed in in the reception when arriving to the hotel. The hotel voucher is a document showing the validity of the reservation.

Payment with credit card

Payments at cityhotels.com is done in one of the following ways, depending on the hotel provider:

  • External payment terminal through DIBS Payment Services. DIBS handles the transaction and we receive the amount of the order.
  • Integrated payment terminal through Travelscape LLC. Expedia handles the order, either through their own transaction system or by sending your card data to the hotel.

Both DIBS and Expedia offer established and secure payment solutions. Where you can choose to pay when checking out, it is the hotel which draws the payment from your credit card. In these cases we will send the card data in secure ways to the hotel without storing the data.

Cityhotels.com is certificated by GeoTrust, which is one of the world’s biggest digital certificication bodies. All card data is encrypted after an authorisation and will not be stored. If the card is not approved, the booking won’t go through either. If you experience technical errors you must contact cityhotels.com directly.

Prices

We reserve the right to make corrections in case of price errors and currency fluctuations. We also reserve the right to subsequently change the price in case of major changes or in the rare case of price errors.

The hotel's own charges

At some hotels there can be charges imposed by the hotel itself to be paid when checking in or out. These charges will be clearly shown in your booking with us / cityhotels before you pay. The charges are, as a general rule, to be paid in the local currency of the hotel. Sometimes the charges appear on cityhotels in the same currency as that with which you pay the room - e.g. Dollars or Pounds. In these cases there may be differences between the price shown at the web page and price at the hotel where you will pay in e.g. euro. This difference in currency will not be reimbursed by cityhotels.

Other

Be aware that maintenance and cleaning standars may vary considerably between countries.

In many countries, water and electricity are significant costs. It is therefore common to make savings in the use of either. For this reason the supply of hot water may be limited and in some cases room temperatures may be kept at a lower level than you are accustomed to. Several countries have also introduced caps on the use of air conditioning. This may mean that it can only be swiched on when you enter the room or only used during the summer period (in Europe from June 1st to September 30th). We apologize for any inconveniences relating to this, and hope you understand the need and efforts to protect the environment.

In large cities noises from trafic and nightlife are common. If you are keen to avoid these, please let us know before you order, so we can help you locate the accomodation must suitable for your needs. Traffic noise is not usually considered a valid reason for compensation.

Important

You and your co-travellers are fully responsible for meeting your own passport, visa and medical requirements. We strongly recommend that you obtain a travel insurance.
